Princess Peach (Japanese: ピーチ姫, Pīchi-Hime), originally named Princess Toadstool in appearances prior to Super Mario 64 (not counting Yoshi's Safari), is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. She resides in her castle along with many Toad. Bowser often attacks the Mushroom Kingdom using his army, the Koopa Troop, namely in the Super Mario series and certain role-playing games, and personally kidnaps Peach, prompting Mario and other heroes to go on a journey to rescue her.
